When us folk start something we often do so based on pure assumption or what our best friends tell us. We like our best friends so we listen to them even though they may never have been involved in our new hobby. When you start a tropical freshwater fish aquarium you need the facts for success, not assumption.
How many people do you know who have started a hobby only to give up oh so quickly, almost before they even started? This is quite common these days and the reason is usually the same every time. Complete lack of research mixed together with pure unadulterated assumption.
It’s strange isn’t it? We find a new hobby and for some unknown reason we think we can get on with it even though we know next to nothing about it. Furthermore, we assume that this way must be right only because it seems so and particularly because our best friend agrees with us. Folks, this is not how it’s done.
If you’re starting a freshwater fish aquarium you need the facts. Why? Because without them your new found hobby will rapidly be a fad of the past. It’s common sense really and we’ve all got a little bit of that, in differing measures of course. Get that book or magazine out and read up on the subject. Get on that internet and read the information to get you started. It doesn’t take long and it’s so interesting and rewarding as you discover things you never knew before.
So take a bit of time out first before you start a freshwater fish aquarium, a few hours that’s all, get that information to start you off correctly and you will most certainly have a stunning aquarium tank full of happy and healthy fish. Now, off you go. Don’t start yet. Get that information first.
